Need Advice About On-line Hotel Booking Services?

I plan to go to New Orleans, Louisiana at the end of this month for Mardi Gras. I am going over the internet to find a hotel deal. I have come across various online hotel booking services, such as “travel.hotels-and-discounts.com”, “hotel-rates.com”, “bookit.com”, “reservations.hotelscheap.org”, etc. Some of these services require up-front full payment. My question is “How safe is it to book through these services (especially when one has to pay up-front)?” What good or bad experience do you have? Can someone recommend a reputable online hotel booking service, since there are so many of them out there? Thank you for your advice.

What area of Chicago to stay?

I am planning a trip and staying in Chicago a couple of days. I’m trying to get an idea of what neighborhood to book my hotel in. I don’t really care about tourist type things, rather just be in a good spot for bars, music, art, roaming streets, neighborhood type feel, lots of Chicagoians not tourists. Any help on details of Northside and Southside would help, heard Wrigley is a good area for these things but only from whatever comes up on internet search.

Abu dhabi airport Hotel?

I am going on holiday to thailand, via Abu Dhabi, The return flights have been changed and we now have a 14 hr stop over in Abu dhabi, We are wanting to book a room in the airport hotel but can’t seem to find anything on the internet with any information on prices or how to pre-book a room.

We arrive at abu dhabi at 12 midnight, so we would be too tired to be driving anywhere and theres not going to be much going on.
We just want to book a room in the hotel. The airline does not provide accomodation for us.
Thanks annoni, but i cant visit the reception until i go on holiday and dont want to get there, then not be able to get a room. I want it sorting before we set of or im going to be worrying about maybe having to sleep on a hard airport floor and itll ruin the holiday
Thanks Rashid, but thats a bit pricey for me. Just wanting asimple room where we can get our heads down for a few hours then showered, not going to have much time to see Abu dhabi by the time we’ve had a sleep, shower and something to eat
