Question regarding Fax confirmation for Schengen Visa?

Has anybody booked hotel accomodation through internet and have gone to the French consulate for Visa.The only confirmation i have from the hotel is email confirmation.I believe the the French consulate is strict in seeing a fax confirmation from the hotel. Can anybody tell there experiences and how to get a fax confirmation. I tried contacting Venere and the hotel but to no avail. Do i need to look separately? Please give your opinions

    YES

    I have that for many people
    But all your other docs have to be in order
    Fax confo is gen not req
    And this exp is from India
    WHy don’t u call the local consulate and check with them
