Trying to book a hotel online but I’m under 18?

Okay, my friends and I are all 16 and were planning to go to this anime convention in Boston and it’s a 3 day thing so we thought we’d book a hotel, my father is going to let me use his credit card. But online it says Adult [1] which no adult will be with us and we can’t change it to Adult [0] do we really need someone over 18 there with us? If we don’t how can I book a hotel or motel?

    No Matter what you have to have someone over the age of 21 to check you into the hotel. They don’t have to stay there, but during check in, they have to be present.

    Yeah. You will need an adult there with you. If your dad pays with his credit card, then he will need to prove that the name on the card, is the person staying in the room. For prom my parents paid with their card and pretended they were staying in the room. There’s no way you can get the room without your dad being there.

    And, usually to stay in a motel/hotel you have to be 21.

    Your Parents are letting you 2 stay in a hotel by yourselves at age 16? Are they nuts?

    You have to have an adult book it for you. Plus since your only 16 you need adults to stay with you. By law they can not let you stay in a hotel at age 16 by yourselves. Maybe 18 but definatly not 16.

    You need someone over 21! No hotel in MA will allow you to be under 21 for a room. At 18 you may be able to get a small motel (under 10 rooms) at the discretion of the owner. But absolutely no room at 16. sorry, you will need an adult over 21 to book and check you in
